Caulfield offers four moves for evaluating online information: pause, investigate the source, seek stronger coverage and trace material to its original context. The aim is to recover the context that internet fragments often lose, while matching the depth of checking to the task. For this course, apply the method to a claim you want to believe about achievement. Keep a short record of the original claim, the sources you checked and what remains uncertain. Treat a confident headline as a starting point for investigation. Decide what evidence would justify sharing the claim with someone whose decision might depend on it.
